nyc restaurant help!!!

we were planning a 'bridal party dinner' for the thursday before our wedding. It is for 13 people so we figured we would go to carmines in midtown...well they are booked

Since we are paying we want something affordable and also family style. We have people coming via the LIRR and also via metro north so we wanted someone convenient in midtown

anyone have any ideas???

also, osteria al doge is in times square and i think you can do it family style there too and the food is AMAZING!
