NYC streets are empty!

Going to work today, the streets, buses, trains are dead. Its sooo quiet in the city. Im working, who else is?

It's a Jewish holiday. the kids are off from school, too

the roads this morning were EMPTY!!

I'm working. But yes, it's very quiet today because of Rosh Hashanah. I actually shouldn't be at work today or tomorrow but i'm a bad jewish girl.

Not a financial girl, but if they didn't close early yesterday then they won't today or tomorrow. Jewish holidays actually begin at sundown so Rosh Hashanah actually began yesterday at sundown. Most people had to leave work early yesterday to make it home and be where they had to be by sundown (if they're observant).

Out where we live no one gets off for any Jewish holidays, I guess there aren't very many Jewish people out here....they just allow anyone who wants to observe the holidays to take the day off, but the rest of us have to come in....and schools are in session too, so no break for me today!

i wish especially since i have a doctors appt at 4:45 and gonna have to rush out of here.

BUt yeah i noticed this morning how empty it was, i live in kew gardens which is a predominately jewish neighborhood

i used to do admin at a big financial company and tehy almost never closed! haha. The market is open till 5 today as usual. I wish my job closed for jewish and christian holidays! hehe!

I'm working until 8 tonite. Yeah it was pretty quiet around 5th Avenue this morning. I have so much work to make up (and leftovers to eat during lunch).

no but we close early for holidays, well monday holidays that we have off, the friday before is early close, or the day before holidays are early closes
