NYC Swing

hi!
Anyone know anything about the NYC Swing Band company?
There are three bands that are available on my date: Big City Swing, 52nd Street Swing, and Uptown Swing.

I don't know much about the differences between the 3, so if anyone has any information in this regard, please let me know!

i was going to look at them but i found the band i am using first....

i know they are very $$$$ ...they received a lot of publicity from playing at Jamie DiScala's wedding (i think it was this band)
they went up about $10K since then

IMO they are overpriced for what you get.
there are a lot of better bands that are less money with better musicianship....

I had recently seen them at a meeting planning trade show and I really wasn't impressed with them.

They missed a lot of notes, were off-key at time, etc.

When I saw them they had an 'Elvis' come out to sing, the elvis songs and it came over a little dorky...

My cousin is in a jazz /swing band and they do weddings I think when they have time, they even have a CD out and they are EXCELLENT. I am not just saying it becuase it is my cousin. I wanted to have them at my wedding, but I did not want my cousin to have to work at my wedding , They are so good they used to play at the restaurant the World Trade Center. Let me know if you want the name . Just FM mail me. They sometimes do weddings when ther schedule has time.
