NYC Swing, Renegade and The Original Phaze 4

Does anyone know anything about these bands? Are there any other bands that people can recommend int the 8-12K price range? Thanks

I heard NYC Swing several years ago and thought they were so great I saved their card ever since. They would have been my choice of a band if my budget allowed. The dance floor was hopping all night long with folks from 19 to 90 and they played a great variety of tunes - with a jumping show to boot.

Hi, I heard Renegade recently and there asking price for my wedding which is 7/4/02 is $6,800. They do sing very well I would go see them in person, or call LI Paramount, ask for Dave that is the keyboard player in the band.

I have seen Renegade twice and saw a tape for one of NYC Swing`s bands, Saturday Night Swing. They are both great. Saturday Night Swing was $950 per musician with a minimum of 10 musicians on a Saturday night -- for 4 hours (cocktail not included). When I found out that Renegade was booked on my date, I checked out Saturday Night Swing on video and was amazed. They were way out of my budget, even after they came down on the price. I would check them both out. Good Luck!

I used Ny Swing, The Dream Team for my November 2000 wedding. They were great! Very lively and fun. Haggle with them, they will come way down in price! Good Luck!

Love NYC Swing...I've seen them at three different weddings.I don't know what your looking for as far as styles go, they really get the crowd moving. If you can afford them go for it!The others I know nothing about.

I have seen NYC Swing and The Original Phaze 4 Band at numerous functions. One thing I do remember though about NYC Swing, although the singers were great, I remember them playing all old Motown and R+B stuff. (If I never hear Aretha`s Respect again I will be very happy) The Original Phaze 4 were fantastic. They seemed to play all the right songs at the right times and had the dance floor packed from the start of the party. Another friend of mine is actually going to their live showcase on Thursday to see them at their studio in Great Neck. Both Bands are great. If you like James Brown go with NYC Swing.
