NYC teachers or parents of NYC school children Question?
Ok so my FH family are all bunch of losers they dont come to any family function that My fh Imeditate family has. Like his Aunts for some reason don't talk to my FFIL and FMIL. We have no idea y. Well any way. I have figured out when my shower is although no one knows I know. Im going to be 'surprised' The only thing I told my MOH is that I wanted to know what his aunts excuse was for not coming to my shower?
She said one of the Aunts is a NYC teacher and said she had parent teacher confrences that day. ON A SATURDAY? Have you ever heard of such a thing?

DH is a NYC teacher and they have never had conferences or anything else on a Saturday... that's weird!

Umm we already had parent teacher's conference. They are never on a Sat. anyway.

I have a friend that is a teacher in nyc schools and I dont' think there are any saturday conferences. because nyc teachers would never come in on the weekends (who blames them?) for that. and neither would most parents.

NYC public schools always hold Parent Teacher Conferences during the week-never on a weekend. I hope you have a wonderful shower

I'm a high school teacher and our parent-teacher conferences were Thursday, March 25 and Friday, March 26. I've never heard of parent-teacher conferences on the weekend. But in our school, we have Saturday school from 8:30-1:30. But there are not a lot of high schools that have that.

JulyBaby what school do you teach at. I'm also at a H.S. that does Sat. classes. I thought we might have been the only one.

we work with the schools and there is no such thing as a universal sat p/t conference but perhaps the inidividual school does soemthing - i know some run saturday academies and things so maybe it was related to that????
