Cant you get around skipping on fri?? I'm sure you can... its not like the kids are around... my friend teaches in nyc also and hes not gonna be around thurs or fri... and this is the 2nd yr hes done it

They should dock you for the days if you don't show up on friday. I know a few teachers who did this and their banks were docked. But if you want to go, at least it is a good time to do so...and for a good reason!
