Hi- Does anyone know if there are ever bridal showcases in NYC, that feature musicians? I'm trying to search for bands, but am finding it difficult since I live in the city and can't make it out to the island after work.

Hi, I know my band, Soul Revival showcases in the city, and a co-worker of mine is actually going to their showcase tonight in Manhattan, I think they list the info on their website, www.soulrevivalband.com HTH

I had the same problem - live and work in the city, but getting married on LI.
I went to a showcase at Roosevelt Hotel, but the bands were quoting highter prices, because of the city audience.
I did a lot of research on this, if you want to FM me your budget, I can tell you who we saw that is in your range.
We are using Code Bleu and are very excited. We ended up taking train out to showcases in Nassau, but it was a pain.
I personally attend one of the shows at New York Marriott Marquis and it was a lot of fun. I got magazines and give-away bags. There are so many vendors there! I would recommend bringing a friend with you to give you second opinion on things. Be careful with giving out your personal info to the vendors for sweepstakes. Enter only like 1 or 2 b/c they compile all the addresses as their mailing lists. You'll receive tons of mail if you enter a lot of them.
