NYC Weddings

My friend (and MOH) is getting engaged next month and wants to start the wedding planning right away.

Does anyone know of places in the city for a wedding of about 100 (or less) people? She's also interested in lofts that she can rent. She's into the place having a more modern feel.

Thanks!

Tell her to go on NYCityweddings.com and look at reception hall listings. They have some NYC halls on there.

Congrats to your MOH!!
My sister got married at The Three West Club in NYC. It was great and she had a very small wedding! Only about 50 people.

Re: NYC Weddings

I like the foundry like somebody else mentioned but its LIC not the city but if she is willing to do that then it'd be good also the metropolitan building in lic has more of a modern feel.

I know somebody who got married at Penthouse on 5th ave, ive also been to a wedding at tribeca rooftop and it was great.

There are tons of lofts, if she is willing to do all the work of a bare space i have a big list of all the lofts in the city. I can post the list i have tomorrow but thats if she wants it. There is alot more work to doing a wedding at a loft, its raw space and tables, chairs, plates, linens all have to be rented. Also takes more to decorating the space too. I was considering a loft for dh's bday party and called almost every single one in the city, most of their fee's weren't bad, they were between $2500-5k on average but thats just the fee you pay to use the place and catering is separate.
