NYE dinner....help!!!!

Our plans to have a party fell through last minute so while we are going to go to a friends house later tonight, I'd like to do something special for dinner since I normally used to work on NYE.

Should we go out for a nice dinner? Would I need reservations? Are they more expensive on NYE (like how V-day they triple the price)?

Should I make something special and homemade, like surf and turf?

i'm sure someone will tell you if you

what's surf and turf? steak and lobster? lobster you can broil with lemon and butter. most fish stores have tails available. even if they're frozen u can defrost in cold water for a few hours.

steak... can't help you there. i am inept at making steak.

so easy!!!! buy the lobster tails, cut the shell open with kitchen sheer, pop out the tail and then out it back in just half way... bake for like 15 minutes or so until they don't look so tranlucent and melt tons of yummy butter to dip it in and lemons to squeeze on it... a nice baked potatoe on the side maybe? you could prob just get away with the lobster!
you can broil some steak... or use a grill pan for that since i doubt you want to BBQ outside in the snow!

I have no dining table.



Its a family heirloom and FH has it in pieces in my parents garage bc we decided to refinish it

Maybe it will be romantic if we sit on the floor at the coffee table
