Ok last night we went to a party at one of our gm's house who got married this summer. He's a jerk honestly and says inappropriate things all the time. Anyway we started talking about our wedding, and he went off on me about paying so much money to get married in a catholic church and that I don't follow their rules anyway b/c I live with fh. At first I thought he was joking, but it got pretty nasty. Fh isn't Catholic so we can't have a full mass and gm is saying I shouldn't do it in a catholic church since they aren't accepting of fh, which isn't even true. Anyway, fh did stick up for me, but I was really mad and I told him that if he felt this way don't stand up there with us, I don't want him too anyway. He got married this summer at the rh with a judge and I thought it was nice, I said nothing at all about it. I don't understand what his problem is. Our best man was there as well, and he was getting pretty mad too. Of course today, now that he is sober he is acting like nothing is wrong. I know I should just drop it, he is just a drunk loser!

What an @ss!!!!! I would try to ignore him because you already know he is rude so I would take what he says with a grain of salt.

What a jerk! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but he shouldn't try to make you guys feel bad because you are doing things differently then him. Well, don't let it get to you, guys are just jerks!

Quite obviously he has no idea what he talking about. Some churches havebecome more prgressive & dont look down upon those living together anymore. Also the church is not against your FH in fact if they were they wouldnt allow the marriage in the church period. Tell him while he may have opinions that dont hold water & dont make sense you respect it & he should respect your decision the way you respected the way they decided to get married.

sounds like he's jealous to me... FH has friends that i despise also, i learned not to feed into it and ignore them... they are don't show him that you care about what he thinks!!
