I just tried to do a room block with La Quinta... they have no shuttle available and there is not availability at the Garden City location.
So - I NEED a new hotel desperately!
I need a place that can offer a shuttle service AND one where we can go back to after the wedding to hang out and drink some more. My wedding ends at 12:30.
What can you guys recommend?? My wedding is at The Royalton so we need a hotel near Roslyn Long Island. It doesn't have to be around the corner... but not too far away either.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

My guests and I are staying at the inn at great neck, no shuttle is available but i called local cab company and they said they would send over vans ( i am paying for them less than 200)
awesome place , great bar to hang out in afterwards 199 a night

There's a Holiday Inn on Old Country Road in Garden City. I'm not sure they offer shuttle service, but it's worth a try. We stayed there for a friend's wedding and they did shuttle us back and forth but I don't know if the bride and groom paid for the shuttles or if the hotel provided them.
There is a bar in the hotel that stayed open for afterwards. We all got back around 12:30-1:00 and hung out for about an hour or so after the wedding.
There's also a Red Roof Inn in Garden City - I'm not sure if there's a bar or if there's shuttle service but I drive past it every morning.

Haha.. I had both of those on my original list... which was only 2 hotels... and they both ended up being the same exact ones!!! HAHA!

sorry im of no help... i only called like 2 hotels... la quinta and a hilton, but i dont think the hilton had a shuttle
ETA: Just read a previous post on here and someone said hilton garden inn does have shuttle... so def try calling them!

What about the HOliday Inn on Old Country Road, next to Chateau Briand? They might not have a shuttle but at least its right by the highway. Theres also that other hotel right behind Baci, it was a red roof inn, is it still?

Behind it is the hilton garden inn. Red roof inn is over by Target in Westbury

Allegra - Thank You! She directed me on who to speak with regarding the room block at La Quinta.... and let me tell you... they actually had room and shuttle availability!!!!!!!!!!!
When calling the direct number for the location in Garden City it re-directs you to a general area. The woman on the phone informed me that there was no availability for rooms or a shuttle and tried to get me to stay in Queens instead. (Hello....at that point we would all just go home!).
So just as a lesson to all brides doing Hotel Blocks... if you are re-directed to a general number, hang up and call the direct hotel back. Speak to the front desk operator and have them transfer your call to the events person at that location because apparantly the records for the general offices are wrong.
