O6 ~ Teachers out there

Did you guys invite your students to your mass? if so, what did you say in the invite???

I just printed up the invite on white paper & used a fancy font and handed it to each of them.

no way, no how. my private life is private. they were not invited. i don't want to look back at my pictures and video and see kids, and i didn't want my mass being interrupted like what happened to some of my colleagues

I invited my kids to the ceremony and it was so cute! I invited all the kids in my building that I had as students throughout the years. I would say maybe 30 came. I made an invite on printshop that just said you're invited to see Ms. S get married with the information and I attached an address card to the church

I couldn't even begin to imagine what my kids would do when we kissed. I don't think it would be appropriate for them to be there...

I did and it actually calmed me down while walking in to see all their adorable smiling faces. Actually one of my favorite pics is the one of me and them on the front steps of the church.

I found a cute poem on here that I printed on stationary and sent to them...if you do a search you should be able to find it...I can't remember it off the top of my head.

I printed out flyers that said, 'Come see Miss O-----
become Mrs.K------ About 15 showed up, they were so cute and excitied to be there. They stayed through the whole mass, which was over an hour long and they were not disruptive at all.. I loved having them there.

my students who could make it came to the mass......... i just told them where and when and sure enough they showed up!!

Alot of my kids came. My church was accross the street from my job and summer camp was going on at that time. Alot of my staff showed too. it was really nice.

Don't mean to crash but
I teach in NJ but my wedding is on LI and I don't think I'll be able to get students to come! That pic of the kids in the church was just too precious! They remind me of my kids! Granted, I have 400+ students being a music teacher...but maaann what I wouldn't give to see a few of them there!

I saw this post and had to put in my pic....EVERYONE loved the kids there and it looked so cute. It was very special to have them there.
Here with me then with my coworker. So cute! They come up to me this year and remember going to the wedding last year. They were quite throughout the ceremony, never would know they were there and looked great for pics after.

I guess it is a personal decision but I loved having my first grade class there!

it's funny how different we all are. your picture is adorable, but i took one look at it and my heart stopped. that would have been my worst nightmare to see all my kids in the aisles and the back of the church on my wedding day!

I actually had no idea that they were in the aisle, we sat towards the side and couldn't see any of it... but the picture did melt my heart.
