Oahu question

Oahu question

For those of you who have been to Oahu...We are planning our honeymoon and are thinking of starting out by spending two nights in Oahu, and then the rest of our time in Kauai and Maui. We will really only have one full day in Oahu, and we want to go to Pearl Harbor, Diamondhead, and to the Dole Pineapple Factory (we love pineapple ) Do you think this is doable in one day? Thanks for the input!

Re: Oahu question

hey! I went to oahu last year and had a great time. Fh and his family got there earlier than me so they went to Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head already. I am sure you could get those two things done in a day but you may feel rushed. It depends onhow long you spend at pearl harbor. I remeber then did a lot of walking at diamond head and spend the day there. IMO I dont know if you would also be able to squeeze the dole plantation in. But from what his family told me, they didn't love the Dole trip. There is this huge maze they have there that you can go through and they said it was ok. So if you had to eliminate on of the agendas I would say Dole. Fh loved Pearl Harbor. They took so many pics!! Hope this helps!!! Fh and I also visited Maui for a day, and you should check out Hannah Highway. Its this crazy long road on the side of a moutain. We rented a jeep and drove on it, through a rainforest that was beautiful. There are amazing stops for pics. Along this highway there is a winery, and numersous other locations you can stop at. They can give u a map and it has everything noted where you can stop. enjoy your trip! Hawaii is beautiful!

Re: Oahu question

Jackie-
I don't think you could do this all in one day. Unless you got up REALLY early and went to Pearl Harbor- we got there early and still had to wait 2 hrs for tickets to go to the USS Arizona. In the meantime we walked around and saw the other museums and memorials but it still took a few hours. Diamondhead also took us about 2 hours total. The Dole Plant is a little drive so it would take you a while to get to. There is not much to see there- we ran through the maze and walked around for a bit. I think it might be alot for one full day but if you got up REALLY early and got to Pearl Harbor the minute it opened it might be doable. If not, I would skip Dole. Pearl Harbor and Diamondhead, I would NOT miss.
