These cookies are the best. I'm not sure of your cooking ability to say if they are easy or not (I cook tons and have advance skills), but they are as easy homemade cookies get. The best thing is that they stay soft even after they cool.
Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
½ pound (2 sticks) butter 1 cup brown sugar ½ cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1½ cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp salt 3 cups oats 1 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350. Beat butter & sugar till creamy. Add eggs & vanilla. Then add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, & salt. Add oats and raisins. Drop by tablespoon full unto ungreased sheets. Bake in top 1/3 of oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool 1 minute on sheet and move to rack. Makes about 4 dozen.

Re: oatmeal raisin cookies
Look on the box of Quaker Oats (you know, the one shaped like a cylinder), I think it's under the top...so you have to buy it first!! Anyway, I made them for a party and everybody raved about them so much that I wanted to lie and say it was my recipe! People are still looking for them when I show up places!
Also, I am NOT a cook and they were very easy to make!

Re: oatmeal raisin cookies
I was going to say the same about the top of the oatmeal container, but I think that sunflowers' recipe is actually the same one!
