OBSESSED with my DJ!!
So music was a BIG deal for us. I originally wanted a band, but my FH wanted a DJ. Due to budget constraints, we chose to go the DJ route. My biggest concern was that I didn't want a loud MC. I don't want someone dragging people onto my dance floor or overpowering the night. I want to do bridal party intros - but not with an obnoxious guy rallying up the crowd. I want the music and the people to create the energy in the room, not an MC.
I met with 1 company and I went home crying. I literally hated their style and the guy presenting to me came across as such a shady toolbag. I assumed every DJ company was going to be like that.
Then someone I went to High School with recommended Jarrell Entertainment. She used them for her wedding and said I just HAD to use Stephen as my DJ. I did some research on reviews, checked out their site (pasted above) and scheduled an appointment. I loved that they have a club/event background. Their mantra is 'let the music speak for itself'. I met with Stephen last night for coffee and I am OBSESSED!!! He has such a great energy about him. Was calm, explained his background, gave me advise outside of the music for my wedding (he got married 2 years ago) and we basically just meshed. I am SO excited about the music portion of the wedding now!!!
I'm giving this a half check because I'm waiting on the contract to sign, but Stephen and Jarrell Entertainment are DEF my guys!!!
If you're having similar concerns about picking a DJ, I HIGHLY recommend you talk to these guys - Ray - the owner is amazing too.
