obsessed with 'theme'

obsessed with 'theme'

WHY am I so obsessed with a 'theme' or 'feeling' for my wedding? It is all I think about! I feel like everything kind of needs to blend. I hear all these great things like wine vineyard receptions and bottles of wine for favors - and beach themes with a beachy cake topper. I am having all white flowers - so I thought maybe a white theme (and thank you all for amazing ideas by the way My favorite was the 'lie' - thanks Debbie - and where ARE you! Let's chat about Oheka!)) but then I get stumped. Should the favors coincide? Should there be white all over? I am also doing tall glass vases filled with all white candies that people can fill little bags with - since we met in a candy store....I think I might be getting carried away....thanks for reading yet another jenny11.9 uncertainty post. Sorry!

Jenny- If you and your FH incorporate everything you two like it will have a 'theme' or 'feeling'.... the 2 of you
It's like decorating your house.. you try to get everything to match but it impossible. What pulls it all together is what you add to it or make of it. Just like life, your marriage, everything you do. Your wedding should be a reflection of you.

Re: obsessed with 'theme'

I was worried about my Autumn themed wedding but it turned out I liked too many non-autumn themed wedding things so it is out the door. I think if you should have things that time your affair together, but also other things that compliment it. I think you will need some color, such as BM gowns (I hate all white BM gowns). Use that color to accent your wedding theme.
I think candy bags are a great idea- not really white but very nice and personal. So it works great.

Re: obsessed with 'theme'

Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I too am obsessed with my winter theme. I think I have all bases covered, except my favors. I'm not sure we're gonna be able to swing the cost of what I wanted to do (mugs filled with hot cocoa and hershey kisses). I can't even offer a solution to the obsession, just wanted to let you know that I'm right there with you!! Do they have a TWPA (Theme Wedding Planners Anonymous)????

jenny...I think Oheka IS your theme...

It carries itself...but Oheka does have a light/white look to it

I think the candy favors are cute because you met in a candy store.
