Oct Brides - Outdoor Ceremonies?

Our RH overlooks a beautiful golf course, so FH wants to have the ceremony outside. But we are getting married in October, and since it's a Jewish ceremony, needs to take place right around sundown. I'm scared it will be too cold, so wanted to see if any other Oct brides are planning to have outdoor ceremonies at night.

We are late October so we're not...our RH does have the option, but it will be dark when we get married so I'm not sure how that would work.

I think if the weather turns out nice and you have the option, why not??

Hello fellow October Bride! FH and I are having our ceremony outdoors next friday and at 6:30pm! I was afraid about the chilly weather at first too but a lot of girls on here and family has reassured me that it will be fine!

Your outdoors for 15-20 minutes tops so people should be fine!

Now all I have to do is keep my fingers crossed that the weather holds up!

It depends i checked the weather for my day and they are saying it's 60 degrees so not sure if that is comfortable for all guests.

I think its fine....my weather says about 60's too (the day before yours) but honestly, my ceremony isnt a full mass or anything....15 minutes tops.

Anyway, its what FH and I want. Our grounds are beautiful!

I myself am getting married in October of next year. We are having a late afternoon wedding outside. That time of year is beautiful as long as you dress the right way!

I think this saturday its supposed to rain, so this might be a moot pint.

Im going to give you a different opinion.

I went to a wedding in July. The ceremony was outside at 11:30 in the morning. It was SO hot that we were HATING the ceremony.

ALL we ALL could think of was 'Is it over yet so I can get out of the sun'. (All meaning the 4 people I went with)

With the converse. I go to a wedding usually with a strapless dress, or spaghetti straps. Cute strappy shoes and no hose. I DO bring a wrap...but if its cold and people are HATING the weather they will be thinking about how cold and miserable they are, not the ceremony.

So it has to be balanced. If its in the 60's I think people can suck it up for 20 min. BUT if they are cold they will be thinking about when they can get inside and when the heck is the ceremony over.
