October BM dresses

I am getting married in the beginning of October and it is sometimes still warm out. I know it is not the end of October when all the autumn colors are out but what color bridesmaids dresses do you think would be good for the beginning of October????????????????????

I agree earthy tones would probably look nice. There are so many beautiful dresses out there. Try looking through some sites, try this one also:

Initially I really wanted to do a burnt/dark orange, but FH was worried he'd look like the great pumpkin (he's exaggerating, it wasn't THAT light of an orange! :) So now our colors & burgandy & gold.

I thought about the colors of leaves when they change/turn for the season & tried to go with something like that. Have fun deciding!

I had an October wedding and used mocha for my bridesmaid dresses. I loved it and thought it looked great.

browns, orange, reds, wine, maroon, navy, greens (sage/olive)

I used wine/bordeaux for my October wedding. Loved the color in pictures too!

I totally went against all the color rules and did an iridescent ice blue...very pale....everyone loved them!! i think since nowadays we are wearing strapless gowns in winter and black BM gowns in july there are really no rules anymore..pick a color u like and that flatters your BP!

just edited to say that IMHO the weight of the fabric is more important than the color..

I agree that wine, burgandy, mocha would look fabulous. Just be careful with the material - we went to a wedding this past October and although the dresses were a beautiful shade of mocha, they were velvet on top - and it wound up being and 80 degree day!!! I felt so bad for the girls as they were visably uncomfortable and hot.
