Re: October brides
It makes me very nervous, but then again I dont remember any other october being this rainy..I keep saying its just raining now to get it out of the way, so it will be sunny for next year..but realistically im terrified..im going to be checking the weather as soon as i can...haha im a year away and already worried about how soon i can check the weather report

Re: October brides
i've seen some really amazing pics of weddings in the rain, bride and groom splashing in puddles, big umbrellas, that type of stuff...think of it as the chance to be a kid again, hey it could be worse, it could be snow!

Re: October brides
Well early october seems to be nice, and my wedding is October 6th so I'm not sweating it. (knock on wood.) But even if it rains, we'll get married inside the UU church which looks like a castle, so I won't complain. What matters most is we are getting married. If its a Hurricane, that might be a different story, then I might just cancel. I couldn't ask my guest and venders to risk themselves. Thank goodness for wedding insurances.

Re: October brides
The rain has been a real drag this year, but October has a fabulous reputation for great weather!

Re: October brides
You bet it does!! I checked the National Weather Service on my date, as well as the day before and after and there was NO reported rain from 2000-2004 on any of those three days. Now all of a sudden this year we get a monsoon, and the Farmer's Almanac for next year is predicting the same weather pattern for Oct 8-15. I'm not happy!! I want my outdoor waterfront ceremony!!!!!!

Re: October brides
I just changed my date today from October 22nd to September 10th. I want an outside ceremony and October 22nd when I was planned for next year will be way too cold IMO. If I didn't want an outside ceremony so bad I wouldn't have changed. I actually love fall colors so much better and now I'm stuck picking all new ideas!
