I highly reccomend St. Lucia. I reccomend staying at Ladera even though it is not all inclusive. We did 2 days at ladera and 7 days at sandals regency...but I loved Ladera SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more. check out my review I give better details on both locations there.

I'm an October bride... but we just got back from our offical honeymoon last week so we waited until after Hurricane season and did a short couple days away right after the wedding. We went to Jamaica- Sandals. I recommend it - just not in October... they get slammed most of the time with the hurricanes... (season is June 1st - Dec 1st)

We went to Mexico (playa mujeres) also and it was beautfiul but the weather wasn't great. It only really rained one day but it was cloudy and cool most of the time. We had heard the week b4 we got there it rained the entire week.

We went to St. Thomas and it was great! I was a fanatic about calling the resort every once in a while to talk to someone about hurricane season there and they all said the same thing... it's just humid with spurt of 10 min showers in the afternoon.
They were dead on accurate. It was humid, but nothing we weren't already used to from summers on LI. It rained for about 5-10 mins. every afternoon, but nothing that made us leave the pool bar.
Also, the good thing about vacationing during hurricane season... most resorts are EMPTY! It was really nice not having to wait long at restaraunts or fighting over lounge chairs by the pool, no screaming children. It was perfect!

We went to the Riviera Maya, Mexico. Although it was absolutely beautiful there, the weather was CRAP! lol If I could do it all over again, I'd go to Aruba since it's outside of the hurricane belt.

We got married on Oct 31st so we honeymooned the first week in November in the carribean and had no problems with the weather. We went to Sandals Royal Bahamian and had a blast. Loved that place and we are definitely going back.

I went to Alaska in November ... but something tells me you don't want to go there Not many people do, or they don't want to go there for their HM at least. We had a a fantastic time though ...

really? did you guys get stuck in the rain also we had torrential rains for 3 days (there was a tropical storm in the area) but we was gorgeous and we had a blast. The SPA was to die for!!
