Have you girls booked your makeup girl yet or is it too soon? I keep getting mixed responses when I call or email for info. Some say it is too soon and others are already booked. If you did book, who did you use? I am waiting for one LIW vendor to get back to me to see if she is available and I contacted another well spoken of LIW vendor who is available for my date, but will not get my business because she is obviously too busy to return my call. If this is her way of working, I don't need that the day of my wedding. Sorry- I am a little pissed about it and I went off course.

I booked my hair and makeup already. When I was looking (in Octoberish) I found a lot of people were already booked, but most were free.

I'm afraid I don't have suggestions on timing, but would like to recommend Sachiko Yanase for hair and makeup. She did hair and makeup for me, MOB, and MOG and hair for most of the BMs. We were all very pleased with her work. Looking back at the pics, DH even said she did a good job. I haven't booked hair or makeup yet either. So behind!!! I need to though. I wish I had suggestions for you but I don't even have a consistent hairdresser I normally use. Still searching...
I also am hoping to find an inexpensive option for my bridesmaids for hair and makeup!

i am getting my trial the morning of TWOTY (jan 19) she said its a perfect time to do it. the sooner the better. if you like what they do, book early incase they book the date with someone else.

I haven't booked yet either and we are date twins! i have a few people in mind to call and figured i would be doing that within the next month. i was hoping to find a time to get my makeup done where i would have somewhere to go and not have it wasted. so that was part of the reason i was waiting, but i guess i shouldn't wait any longer. i would try to book soon.
i hope we're not looking at the same people!

I didn't even start on hair and make up. If you post on vendors helping brides I'm sure you will get responses. My friend booked her persona few days before the wedding and didn't even have a trial, they just worked well together the day of.

I was an 07 October bride. When I started contacting MU artists in late January, early February MOST of them were already booked!!!!
I'd go for trials as soon as possible so that you can get someone you love. GL!

I have not booked yet. I'm using my regular salon for hair. I contacted 2 MUA so far but need to get back to them about setting up trials for February. Things have been a little nuts in my life right now so I've put that on hold.

i booked mine months ago, i would just do it now because many book quickly
About somebody not getting back to you right away, i would just wait. This is something alot of people have said on the boards. They will get back to you but might take a few days

My regular hairdresser is doing my hair, and I have a MUA in mind - I work in film so I am going to have a trial with a woman we use for our shoots - if anyone is interested (unless your date is 10/25 ),she's very good and probably available since she doesn't do a lot of bridal makeup. FM me for details.
That being said, I better arrange a trial soon!
AGH! I feel like this month has been nothing but plan, plan, plan, and all of a sudden, I am buying things left and right! Wish I could wait on MU but maybe I can't?? Cuz if I don't like the one I am thinking of using, I'll have to find someone else and I have NO ONE ELSE IN MIND!!!!

Damn I can't use the same ones as you since we are on the same date and same room!!! I'm kidding! I am hoping to use my hair stylist and she does make up too but she wants to move to North Carolina, I'm trying to get her to stay until after my wedding!!!!
