October Brides ** Update

So how far along is everyone in the planning process?? I feel like I have so much to do and am getting more and more stressed about it. We have the reception booked, I have my dress already, almost all of my BM's have ordered their dresses but thats it.

we're met with about five photographers but haven't booked anyone yet. I know we have a lot of time but I feel like before we know it, it will be next year. Am I just freaking out???


ETA:: What a difference a month makes. I'm feeling much better. We booked our photographer. YAY Love him!!
We started our registry. The last of my BM's ordered her dress - now just have to find a MOH dress. And we're going to look at DJ's in the next few weeks. I think it was just the pre holiday stress. Thank you ladies

I'm a November bride and all I've done so far is:

RH and church
Photographer/video
Flowers
DJ
my dress

I'll deal with everything else after the holidays.

so far i have done:

STD
Engament party
Church
Rh
Limos
Dj
Photographer
BM dresses
My Dress
My shoes
Veil

But thats it.. I am thinking of waiting till after the hoildays to do the rest.... HTH

Hi...we're almost date twins!!!

I think you're fine, we still have plenty of time...I'm probably waiting til after the new year to finish also. I wouldn't worry.

So far, I have done...

RH and chapel
Stds
E-party
my dress, veil and headpiece
BMs dress (well 3 out 7 called so far)
limos
dj

we have been meeting with some photogs, haven't decided yet, and looking into flowers

We've booked most of the major stuff:

Church
RH
Flowers
Photo/Video
DJ
Bridal Gown

And that's it. I figured out my BM dress colors, but they said we have until March/April to order them.

We have to book the limos, but FH's cousin works for a limo company so we'll go with them and book it eventually.

I'm not gonna worry about the rest (invites, place cards, decor, accessories, favors, etc) till much later. Because I'll end up changing my mind a thousand times.

Just go at your own pace, everything will work out. It's normal to feel freaked out when you read about how much people have done, just remember everyone works at their own pace. If possible try not to get overwhelmed.

Its normal to freak out! I too am freaking out especially when I start reading what some of the girls on here have already done.
I have done RH, Flowers, DJ, Officiant,
Still interviewing photographers, I havent even started looking for a dress, nor BM dresses......ok now I am really starting to freak out!!!

I wouldn't freak out! Just go at your own pace I like to get everything done quickly... so far I have:
Booked Hall
Booked Church
Ordered my dress
Blocked hotel rooms
Booked Florist
Booked DJ
Booked photo/video
Starting buying candy buffet jars and scoops
Purchased ring bowl
Contacted the woman who is making my DOJ and set everything up.

no offense but some of you brides make me so nervous....there are 2010 brides that have so much more done that I have

I have my hall, flowers, we're ordering our save the dates....and nothing else is done

I just started to look at dresses, we've narrowing down photographers, and hopefull will book limos nxt week

and i am an early october bride

there is no need to worry ...everything will be done in time

my sister planned her weddings in 4 months ....and everything was perfect


so we are in good shape (i think so anyway) dont worry :)

I totally agree....now I know that I am one of the brides that has almost everything done, but that is just me...I am like that with EVERYTHING...but this web site can make you totally nuts and it made me feel like I needed to get things done even faster than I normally would have....you will be fine!

That is very true i feel like i am so behind because when i was a March 2010 bride other fellow March 2010 brides had everything done...it was so crazy so it made me rush into things i wasnt ready for.

I'm Nov 1st, but I almost picked your date!! Here's what I have so far:
- Reception Hall (Old Field Club)
- Photography/Videography (Marco Photography)
- Florist (Verbena)

I just started looking at gowns, invites and djs. I hope that helps!!

Hi there!

I have everything done except:
flowers/picking florist
Wedding Rings
Honeymoon booked
Hotel rooms blocked off
Rehearsal Dinner figured out

and that's for the big things...otherwise, I still have all little things like getting my shoes, place cards, menus, programs, favors, bathroom baskets, etc...
