October ladies

Since most of us are or near the 5 month mark what are you doing?

I really don't know what else to do i just feel kind of lost. I don't have a HM to book since we are going way after the wedding. My rehearsal dinner is probably going to be at home to save some $$ so i don't have to book that. We are going for tuxes end of May early June. I pretty much know what type of invites i am doing so no need to worry about that. I just don't know what else to do

We just ordered a dress for my sister (MOH) yesterday from J Crew to see how it fits. If we like it, everyone else is going to order the same one.

As for a rehearsal dinner, we have several spots we're considering but haven't committed to anything yet.

I paid for half of my invites and I'll have to pay the other half soon. I'm undecided as to menus and programs and programs will have to wait for the last possible minute just in case my preggo older sister pops the baby out early and can come from NC to NY for the wedding.

I know my favors - mini pumpkin place cards, caramel apples, masquerade masks and a candy bar but haven't ordered anything yet.

I'm thinking of ordering stuff for aisle decorations and ordering a runner to diy myself.

I just gave fh an idea for groomsmen gifts he likes and I know what I'm getting bms but haven't bought them yet.

I'm going to order branches for a take a wish, leave a wish tree very soon. I'm also going to buy more Halloween stuff and look through my Halloween stuff for what to decorate with.

I need to call Westbury Manor and possibly even go there to see how much stuff I can possibly bring to decorate with - I'm getting really into the whole holiday decor ideas.

Tuxes will come last although if we can rent nice suits instead we will definitely be doing that.


I feel like that's everything I have left that I haven't done but know what I'm doing.


Wow, that's a lot of stuff to still do but at least I have general ideas for everything.

In a month we're ordering invitations

We can't do tuxes until July because my brother is in Florida

And that's it for now. The juicy stuff for me starts at the end of July (fittings, mail invites, etc).

I'm actually really enjoying this 'doing nothing' period. ALOT.

I feel like I have so much left to do!! But it's all little stuff.

We know where we are having the RD - just need to book it.

Need to pick out invites and favors - want to do DIY for both of these. Also figure out placecards, table numbers and if i'm doing programs.

Need to finish writing the ceremony with FH.

Need to start figuring out BP and parent gifts.

Book a honeymoon. Then figure out how to pay for it!!!

Do another hair trail - haven't done a makeup one yet.

Need DOJ and to figure out if I want a headpiece.

I know I'm missing more that is on my list

gzzz I feel like in the beginning I was so ahead of the game now I am starting to panic how quick time is flying by…

I still need to:
Get shoes, DOJ, Veil, order invitations, favors, programs, seating charts, place cards, bm/gm gifts, tuxes, find someone to do Hair & Makeup & schedule a trial, book rehearsal dinner, bubbles for the church, unity candle, parents gifts, … gzz I better get cracking .. Am I missing anything?

I need help my bm dresses are cinnamon.. what color shoe would you suggest? Gold or a Bronze shoe? I hate dyeables so that’s out

I still have so much to do! I coasted for awhile but the next few months its get down to business time.

This past weekend we ordered our wedding bands - so excited!!!

Need to order my bridesmaid dresses this week since the custom dress route did not go well!!!

To much else to list at the moment but it was a productive weekend!

Ahhhh 5 months!!!

Thursday I am going with my sister to book my shower location for July 12th...so I eventually need to get a dress for that and buy Thank yous

I have to register

I have to find a hair person and book a make up person

I have to order my bm dresses by May 15th. Just waiting for my girls to give me the money and their measurements.

I just ordered our std, so when those come I will have to get them out right away.

I need my day of shoes, veil. hair clip, undergarments, garter.

Fh needs to order tuxes for him and groomsmen

I need to get flower girl dresses and baskets

We need to book a church, hopefully this will be done by friday. After that we can start scouting out rehersal dinner locations.

We need to buy gifts for the bridal party.

I need to do all my paper stuff and diy stuff like place cards, programs., cardbox, slipper basket, candles, invites, wish bowl/tree, candy bar.

And I think lastly I have to schedule my epics, pick my menu and schedule a sample from my florist.

The last weekend of this month will be busy- I have a hair trial makeup trial, taking epics, and hopefully booking our RD!

I have the materials for invites, we need to start putting them together.... FFIL is addressing them for us...

Two of my girls STILL need to order their dress, they were supposed to by April 30!!. One got prego so ok she's excused (she needs to wear a different dress now anyway ) but other FSIL is totally MIA and hasn't ordered hers yet

What we did:
-Booked RH, hair & makeup, DJ, flowers, photographer, videographer, Rev. Deb, limos, blocked rooms for OOT guests, honeymoon to Costa Rica
-Ordered dress (it's in!) & the girls dresses are in too!
-STD were sent out previously

What we have to do:
-Dress fittings (first one scheduled for July 15th!)
-Order invites (we picked them out, just have to order them) & mail out
- Get shoes, DOJ, hair piece,
- Order Tux
- Donations & cards to UNICEF, bathroom baskets, seating charts, music lists, finalize menu & cake, OOT gift bags, bridal party gifts (no clue what we are giving!) & parent gifts,
- Get current passport
- Marriage license
-Finish registering at Macy's (we are also registered on Amazon)
-Purchase wedding bands
- Gift box (most likely ordering from themodernbride.com), sign in book (customized from Snapfish)

We are both teachers so we plan on doing a lot over the summer!

What am I forgetting?!

We just have to....
-Book limos (hopefully next week)
-Get tuxes
-Get Groomsmen Gifts
-Order placecards and programs (can't order programs until we finalize the readings we are using)
-Plan RD

Soooo... we're pretty much in the same boat as you, not really much to do right now, just enjoying the calm before the storm LOL!
