Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

I got to the post office in the nick of time last night.

The lady (Flora at the Farmingdale P.O.) was VERY nice and offered to hand cancel all of my invites (I had asked if I could do it myself so as not to give them 'extra' work). I stayed and chatted with her while she stamped them and then she said they'd go out last night!!!



Yeah!! Now on to RSVPs!!!!!!

It was Saturday - i had a great time!! I actually got THREE RSVPS back! I was SHOCKED!! I feel really calm about it all, I feel like I have a lot to do but that I'll get it done... Now PAYING for it all.... I had my final DJ appointment tonight and I have my menu Saturday - 40 days!!!!!!!!!!


Your shower was da bomb. so nice to see something original and fun!

I'm glad you're calm. i'm actually getting stressed, though i'm not entirely sure why. we're doing pretty well getting everything done. but there's still a lot to go!

Extremely stressful!!!!! I have a few MIA but for the most part almost DONE with that, on to the seating charts....I was stressing about that to, but I got alot of support from former east wind brides and feel much better now......

SERIOUSLY Please do - I am NOT kidding - out of EVERYTHING I have done/vendors I dealt with - they made me feel SO SPECIAL - it was like the way I thought it would be for every vendor when I started wedding planning, but NONE of them did that ...and the food was AMAZING - and I normally don't really like much. I would reccomend them to ANYONE for ANY party.

Has anyone else been a little disappointed with the way you're treated by most vendors?? I mean, i guess because they deal with Brides all the time, I just thought it would be different or that they would WANT your business, most places act like THEY're doing YOU a favor! We're only brides once and it's such a short time, I thought vendors would make us feel more special... am I the only one?

Laura, I guess the post office people were sleeping this weekend. I only got one RSVP back today (it was a good one ) but I thought I would come home to a ton after the weekend.


Aw, only one, you must have been disappointed. I keep thinking I am going to open the mailbox and have like 15-20, but I am pretty sure that wont happen. I will keep my fingers crossed that you have at least a few rsvps today


I got spoiled the first 2 days when I got a bunch back. Now it is like 1-2 per day. I get all excited when I go to the mailbox. I am such a kid.

I agree. Some of my vendors have made me feel special, but I've definitely encountered the ones who act like they're doing you a favor or worse, like they don't even want to be bothered with you. W*T*F/?!?!?!
