Hi ladies, My wedding date is Oct. 12th next year and I was just wondering if you all thought it would too cold to do an outside wedding. I really want to do it outside, but I just went to a wedding last weekend and it was freezing. Your help is appreciated! Camille

I went to a couple of weddings in October, one of them being my sister's and the weather was absolutely beautiful for both of them....I believe for my sister's it was like 76 degrees and not a cloud in the sky....HTH!!!

Thanks for the reassurance. I was a little nervous about it but your comments help. I guess as long as we have a backup plan for increment weather, we'll be fine.

<=== over there.
Make sure you have a plan B, yes, this year it was nice that weekend but, there's no guarantee that it will still be warm, or not rain, or anything!

My wedding was last weekend and it was beautiful! It all depends on what you like. I love 60s and sunny fall weather.

Re: October weather for a wedding
it really depends
the weather recently has been great
but a few years ago i went to a wedding on october 1st and it was literally 40 degrees and they had an outdoor cocktail hour at like 7pm!!! i had to go and wait for it to be done in the car with the heat on until they could finally move us inside it was BAD... also, it was pitch black too-- which didn't make it better
but then a woman i know of got married about 8 years ago in mid october and it was like an indian summer-- so it's hard to say but i wouldn't 'bank' on an outdoor CH or ceremony-- always have a plan B no matter what

Re: October weather for a wedding
i would be careful about later in oct. i had it the 1st of Oct and it was starting to get cold for me.
You can probably still have it outdoors if your RH has heated lamps and some of the ladies wear shawls or sweaters. otherwise it can get cold once it's under 60 for most ladies...

Re: October weather for a wedding
I did an outside wedding (6:00) on 10/14 this year. I was FREEZING!!!! I should have had the ceremony at 5:00 or even 5:30, it would have still been light out. We cut the ceremony quite a bit at the last minute too.

I am very nervous about the weather too and will be until our wedding day! I know it doesn't matter, but I can't help it! Our CH doesn't start until 7pm!
