Odd Question Here..

I have an odd question kinda..I am a preschool teacher and my director (plus bridesmaid and friend) is getting married in 3 weeks. I want my class to do something special for her but I dont know what. They are only 4 years old so I was thinking some special project or something but I cant come up with anything at all. I am planning on giving her a special breakfast her last day at work with a surprise cake but I want something to be from the children. Does anyone have any ideas? Anything at all at this point will be appreciated! Thank you so much!

Re: Odd Question Here..

Maybe they could sing a song to her or for a project cut out different color hearts and have them draw a picture in it.

Re: Odd Question Here..

the song thing popped into my head too----a picture of her as a bride would be cute or you could have a day where they get all dressed up--girls in dresses and boys in nice pants--maybe even a tie!!! (you would have to tell their parents of course!!,) have the cake, give her cards from the children and have a mini-wedding!! oh and you could decorate your room too--wedding bells--hearts!!!etc.

Re: Odd Question Here..

how about if you had them make a banner, spelling out the word LOVE with their handprints in fingerpaint?

Re: Odd Question Here..

What about buying a plain canvas apron and having the class decorate it with fabric paint or markers?

Re: Odd Question Here..

I would def make a big banner and have all their fingerprints with their names on it and they can hold it up in a line and present it to her while singing a song?

Re: Odd Question Here..

I loooooooove the song idea!! I think that would mean a lot to her. You can make it simple too, being that the kids are so young - to a song like 'row, row, row your boat'...

Love, love, love is here,
lets all celebrate.
Don't forget to kiss the groom
We can hardly wait!!

And at the end, hold up a banner (I love that idea too)

Re: Odd Question Here..

I would have them decorate a tote bag (similar to the apron idea). As educators we always have a ton of stuff to lug around. You could also have the children make a banner or do over a bulletin board. If not each child can make her and her FH a card. There should be some good children's books out there which would allow you to tie in vocabulary with visuals and props. Whatever the kids make will come out cute and she will love!
