Ode to Joy alternative?

We are having a string quartet for they ceremony and we were trying to think of another song besides Ode to Joy for the processional, any ideas?

Ode to Joy alternative? - Long Island Weddings

So my church gave me a list of music that I could chose from and under processional it says:
Bridal Chorus (Wegner)
Trumpt Voluntary (Clarke)
Canon in D (Pachelbel)

ETA: I don't know if you meant recessional because under that Ode to Joy is listed on my music list. If you meant that here is some other options:
Wedding March (Mendelssohn)
Trumpet Tune (Purcell)
Rondeau (Mouret)

I hope this helps!

Thanks, I loveTrumpt Voluntary (Clarke.

My church has it under the processional which I thought was odd, maybe it was a typo.

I love Canon in D personally. I've heard it used at weddings in the past and thought it was very fitting and beautiful.

I like that as well, It's so hard to choose I want elegant but not expected.

we booked with the capriccio ensemble (harp and violin) and they gave us a list of songs to choose from. we still haven't gone through them all, but i think we are going with canon in d because it sounds so nice with the harp and violin duo :)

I wish I knew more about classical music, I think I need to download a few songs played by quartets and see what moves me!
