As I posted a few days ago all my girls got measured and left their deposits and the BM dresses were ordered! Then my aunt calls and says 'Can I have the name to the bridal place that we went to because, I'm going to change my daughters dress size.' Now mind you they were all 'Measured' and the designer of these dresses runs small, so instead of going with the size that correlates with her measurments she decided to go down a size. I called the bridal place myself to see if they put it through and they did and the women told me that this new size will be an inch and half too small around her bust and 2' too small around her bottom........WTFFFFFFFFFFF! The women heard that I was upset about this and then reassured me that even if this is the case they could always order more material and add it on and you would never be able to tell. She said that they do work like this all the time. But why even change the size to begin with?? I just don't understand.

Re: Of course it couldn't go smooth
I have the gilrs in bill levkoff and each girl across the board was 2 sizes larger than they usually are. Even bigger than what they usally are in BM dresses.
Also Its her alteration costs not yours....

Re: Of course it couldn't go smooth
people are so size/number conscious when it comes to that stuff... i was in a wedding and one of the BM ordered 2 sizes smaller than suggested since that was comparable to her street size (and had to initial the change since they thought it was absurd). luckily, it did fit in the end but looked ridiculous since its was too too tight and the draping pulled and didn't hang right. i don't get it.
(i also dont get why the sizes are so inaccurate for BM dresses and the gowns too; it plays mind game with everyone!)

Re: Of course it couldn't go smooth
UGH - people are SO annoying!! I especially hate that they went and called the store to change it - like, if you had a problem, do it when they ordered it!
Don't worry, if she has to pay $200 in alterations to get it to fit, then that's her problem!

Why was her MOM calling to say anything? Is she not an adult?
