OFC Brides: Where did/are you having your RD?

I'm having a really rough time finding a place that is good and within a good distance (30 minutes) of either OFC or the Courtyard Marriott by MacArthur Airport which is where we're staying. So where are you having or have you had your RD that is somewhat near there. 30 minutes from either place (OFC or Courtyard) is fine with me. Thanks!

I think I answered your other thread, but I really recommend The Good Steer...they have really yummy food and they have a couple of 'rooms' so you could probably be completely separate from the regular restaurant. The food is DELISH!!!

I wish I could help but I am not that familiar with that area. This is something that I have been thinking about as well. Are you getting married in a church or at the OFC? If you are getting married there..Are you having a rehearsal?

I was thinking if we do have a rehearsal at OFC that I would scout out restaurants in Port Jeff or Stony Brook but if we didn't have an actual rehearsal then we would have a 'rehearsal dinner' somewhere on the Nassau/Suffolk boarder.
Hmmm..now you got me thinkiing!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Ruvo in Port Jeff and it was awesome. It's already one of our favorite restaurants so that's why we chose it and were not at all disappointed in anything on the day of the rehearsal. It was all very yummy and they were super easy to coordinate with.

I might also suggest Pentimento in Stony Brook Village or the new Mirabelle in the Three Village Inn, also in SB Village. I know the 3VI does a lot of events and I'm sure they'd do a RD and their food is fantastic though maybe a little on the pricey side. I have never eaten at Pentimento but heard it is also fantastic.

Hope this helps!

We're having our RD at Danford's. It's where most of our out of town guests are staying, so it's pretty convenient! Definitely look into it. The location is a great way to set the mood for the weekend!
