Off to get my very painful wisdom tooth out

I have a 2.00 pm appointment to have it extracted. I've been in pain since Monday, the gum around it got infected and I have gotten no relief from Advil, Tylenol, Asprin, Aleve or Excedrin - I'm not looking forward to the 'pulling' part, but I'll be out and hopefully the pain will go a way

You will probably be so out of it that you won't even know it happened. It will be soo worth it not to have that pain! Good luck!

Dont worry. I got mine out a few months ago and it wasnt too bad.

It is not that bad. It was like no pain. Just put ice on it when you get home.

Im getting 2 yanked tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!! It will hurt when you wake up so make sure you bring painkillers with you and get the prescription your doc gives you filled! PLENTY OF ICE!

man I know how you feel when no pain medicines work...I had an infection (only needed root canal to fix) but I couldn't sleep with my head down b/c it throbbed so much...and ntohing worked!!!

get a fribble afterwards!!! it was the best thing for me!!!

I had the same thing 3 years ago and let me tell you I felt soooo much better afterwards!!

Well, almost 24 hours later, I fell much better - the extraction was OK I was out for the whole thing. Ont he way home I started crying - sobbing for no reason, and then later I got reall light headed and nauseous,,,I feel much better today, and when I called my mom in Ireland for sympathy, she said 'once it stops hurting hnow, it'll nver hurt you again' - definately a good way to look at it

I'm off to bed again - me and my vicadin!!

I have my appointment with my dentist today, he is going to refer me to the oral surgeon.
