Ohhhhhhhh good luck! I hate the dentist!!!

I have a very nice dentist now. I found him about 5 years ago. I had a not so good experience with a dentist when I was younger. I was crying because I did not want to go in. He picked me up carry me into the room and slapped me across the face because I was crying. It took me a while to get over that. The dentist I have is so nice he explains what he is going to do and he is very gentle. When we have children I will be in the room with them and if the dentist has a problem with it. I will explain what happened to me. I proud that I got over my fear though.

The same thing happened to FH's BIL, he got slapped across the face by his dentist and now he's scared to go and he's 43! You didn't happen to grow up in W. Virginia did you?

Nope, I grew up here on Long Island. I had my mom come with me to the new dentist and then after a while I was able to go on my own. I just need my mom and or fh to come with me to the oral surgeon which is very rarely that I go there.
I have not needed to get wisdon teeth out yet and I only have two. Confused on that. It took me a while to get the will to go back to the dentist but I did.
