OFFICIAL 08 Honeymoon Thread....girls give us your info!!!!!

Original post by dancinmyazoff

I still have not the slightest clue where to go for our honeymoon. We don't necessarily have a set budget we want to stick by but we just want to go somewhere beautiful and obviously get the most bang for our buck! So I'm thinking that it would help to hear everyone's honeymoon info and only if you feel comfortable prices would be great but if you don't want to post them you can either FM me what you paid OR just not list a price at all (details are just as good for me to get ideas).

I'm sure this thread could help alot of people decide for their honeymoon! Soooo....

Where are you going:

How many days/nights:

What's included in your package:

Miscellaneous details:

Price (optional but definitely helps):

Re: OFFICIAL 08 Honeymoon Thread....girls give us your info!!!!!

we just found out this weekend that FH's Aunt is letting us use her timeshare as a wedding present - they go to Aruba every year and that is where we will stay as well.....

so we'll be staying at the Marriott Ocean Club in Aruba for a week!

i'm figuring we'll spend around $300 a day - so hopefully its only going to cost us $2,100.00 but even if it costs a little more that is fine - if we stay under 3K (which I am confident that we will) we'll be fine...... We are SO HAPPY I went on tripadvisor and all the reviews I read about the Marriott and Aruba were great. I can't wait - we've never been on a 'real' vacation so its very exciting!!

We're thinking about Africa:

Africa
-Fly into Johannesburg, stay for 2 nights and then go to
-Capetown for 3 nights
-African Safari up to Victoria falls for 4 nights
-Fly to Mauritius Islands (exotic white sand tropical beach islands off of S. African coast) for a few nights
-Fly back to New York

The price they quoted was really high, but it included some extras like Business Class airfare - so we can probably save some money by flying coach, or staying in midlevel hotels...
