Figured I would bump this. We are highly considering CLM. We fell in love. Sadly, all July/August/Sept evenings for Fri and Sat are booked in the downstairs room (we need it because we have 175-200).
We can do Oct 29. We're doing a tasting Jan 6. Anyone else going?? I really want the outside ceremony and the yacht, and I'm worried about the weather in late Oct.
By the way, any winter brides marrying at CLM it looked absolutely gorgeous Sat night with the snow. I love the Christmas trees and how it looks in the winter.
very excited for the tasting. I loveeee CLM!

what about a thursday? thursday weddings are the new friday! my fh and I are considering one depending on the dates that are available. We are in the same boat as you- planning a sept oct 2010 wedding...CLM is our top choice right now. We had the tasting a few weeks ago it was delicious and the service was great!
October is a funny month..somehow the end of the month always works out to be warm on halloween - you might get lucky!

FH doesn't want to do Thursday. At first he didn't even want to do Friday. He feels it's a hassle, especially since we have a lot of OOT guests.

Did you end up booking here?? I never really noticed the parking lot thing till you said something. Have you checked out a lot of places? Its so hard to find a place that has everything you want. I wouldnt worry too much about it, the water is such a beautiful back drop and I am sure everyone will be focusing in on you coming down the aisle. Good luck with everything and Happy New Year!

Any ideas on what you're going to have on your menu?
After the tasting, I know I want chicken corden bleu and stuffed shrimp. mmmmmmmm that was good. FH loved the veal.

as for the linens....i think they only have the off white color. I would like to know if they have anything else though. If not, I may ask my DOC how much she charges for an overlay. I might add chair covers too. Im not sure and would have to see if theres money in my budget for it.
For centerpieces I want all high or half high and half low. Im thinking about doing all white or having mostly white with a few light purples thrown in, since my bridesmaids are wearing an african violet color. Im def going to have hanging crystals ! My theme is vintage chic / bling / hollywood glamour

I was told they only have 1 linen color...and my theme is fall so im doing fall colors, pumpkins, leaves, etc.

I just went there today. I found out that the upstairs ceiling will be raised by the end of June (100%).
Also,
3 months prior you make you final menu decisions. 2 weeks prior your final payment 1 week prior you drop off of materials (toasting flutes, aisle runner (50 ft), etc.)

we had uplighting. Prestige Events did our uplighting. If you're going to TWOTY - I know they are doing the uplighting there. They did an amazing job for our wedding!

Also, read some of you are considering chair covers...who are you using and are they rentals? One last thing, does anyone know if CLM let's your florist come in and set up or do they have to do it?
