I'm probably still a bit early in posting this, but I figured why the heck not! The other boards have done this and it is *almost* OUR year ladies, so let's get started!
The results of the poll showed that most people felt a seat filler should give a gift of $50. Please do not sign up to be a seat filler if you feel uncomfortable doing so. Also, be prepared to go solo, unless the bride invites FH! :)
Post your name here if you would like to be a seat filler for a fellow LIW 2012 Bride. If a bride can not make her minimum, she can call upon the seat fillers!
With this I think that we should establish the rules.. I think there was a discussion on facebook as to what happens. Do you bring a gift? Is it a set amount we establish?
I was thinking that maybe we set an amount that you would give. This way it takes away the unknown. The idea behind it is that you would have to pay for the seat anyway so might as well have someone enjoy it but it seams that the person should give something.
I agree with Mara- we do need to establish rules. I was under the assumption that the seat filler did need to provide a gift because they were doing the bride a 'favor'. Maybe we can make it that no gift is expected, however if the bride attending wants to give something its at their discretion. Thoughts?
Also- FH is not necessarily invited! Plan on going solo! :) (unless otherwise decided by inviting bride)
