What wedding plans are the April brides doing this week or weekend?


I am not doing anything wedding related this weekend! But last weekend I ordered my dress, and we have most of the major stuff out of the way... some days I feel very ahead of the game, but others I feel like there must be a million things I am forgetting!

I feel the same way. Once I do some wedding stuff I go ooo I can take a break now and then I sit there and think everything else I have to do and I start to panic..lol

What are you doing for pics. I am April 11 and I noticed this year that the trees and flowers were not bloomed yet. It will probably be to cool for the boardwalk. I really want outdoor pics (if it is not raining).

Any suggestions?

I was thinking Eisenhower (sp) Park. I wanted Westbury Gardens but that costs money. I don't really need a place because my RH has so many picture opportunities. I just need it to waste time..lol

How is Eisenhower park? Is there a nice area in particular for pics? I decided against OW gardens because of the money. I do not want to sepnd money to take pictures. I am spending enough for the photographer!!

that is how I feel about the gardens also. At Eisenhower Park they have the lake and other spots the photographer should know. Also a lot of brides go the Garden City in front of the gazebo. I haven't decided yet either. I was also thinking the beach. FH and I love the beach and I would love pictures of the beach.

Me too! I love the beach! If it is nice enough, I am definately going to the beach.
I didn't know there was a lake in Eisenhower Park? Where? I will check it out this weekend!!

Me too! I love the beach! If it is nice enough, I am definately going to the beach.

I am pretty sure if you drive down Merrick Avenue you can see the lake from there. No problem. Anytime.

i visited Cassarino Studios and i ruled out f i n e a r t p h o t o.
i would like to meet up with , Velvet, Duet &12th night . who did u go with?

Velvet is really good. They were booked my date. I booked with Patken and really love them.

Eisenhower is a good idea for pics, i want to look into that. i am think about OWG but i dont want to spend the $ if i dont have to. anyone know how much they charge? I think there is also a duck pond in mineola ? but not sure where, i want to look at that. another thought of mine was sands point preserve. FH and i love it there. we are takin our pics SO early though.....limo picks us up at 8am before the church!!! any other ideas?? church is in Lynbrook at 11.

Hi! I'm another 4/26 bride...gosh, there's a ton of us on here. already booked photography/videography through patken. got an awesome deal through them and their pictures looked nice. all the photographers i've visited recommended old westbury gardens for pics only because they have a nice outdoor and indoor area. i checked it out last month and was impressed by all the gardens. wasn't completely impressed by the indoor area though. may end up cancelling day of wedding if it rains and don't want to take pictures inside the mansion. so, i'm really hoping it's nice enough to be in the gardens for pics.

Glad to hear from you. We all miss you. I am not sure how much OWG charges. I wish I knew also but I don't want to spend the money either.
