1st course - saffron risotto cake with shrimp scampi! It was a lil dry, but its supposed to be bc there is flavor infused oil around it, and it really completes the dish!

salad- spinach w/ mushrooms and bacon vinegarette

Parmeasan crusted Chilean SeaBass - FAV DISH OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!! We all loved it!!!!

Horseradish crusted chicken - MY fAV!!! the gorganzola sauce is to die for!!!

We didnt taste beef, but we choose prime rib

I couldnt decide on a cake yet - Jason and I cant agree, so no deserts yet!

The drinks from the bar were awesome according to those who drank. Barbara was so attentive and when its your time youll see all the perks there are to being a BRIDE and HWC!!!

I am not saying anything bc im not spoiling the surprises, but Barbara really takes care of us!!!

Now I cant wait for my wedding even more!!!!!

LOL DONT BE NERVOUS!! BARBARA ROCKS!!! Jason and I are seriously being so well taken care of by her, I really cant even being to thank her enough...i have an endless list of nice things!

We chose 2 chicken and 2 fish bc we feel beef is a safe bet. Ive had primerib and filet mignon a million times before!!!

The chilean seabass was the best dish prepared by far...it was cooked to perfection!!!!!!!! I also tried swordfish too, which was good, had a bit of a fishy taste, but the seabass was out of this world!!! It was sooooo juicy and soooooooo yummy.....I def think you should taste it!!!!

The HR chicken was my personal fav! ITs just packed with flavor! The sauce completes it....its a very comforting dish! We tasted chicken roulade too, and it reminded me of thanksgiving...but the HR chicken just kncked the other chicken to the side of the road in my opinion!

Jason and I wanted to offer dishes to people that they couldnt get on a reg basis. I had never seen chicken or the seabass prepared they way HWC offers it.

With those 2 choices as soon as everyone bit them, it was heaven! We knew!

So def think about trying them!!!!!

OH - and the vegetarian dish is veggie lasagna! NOT BAD HUH???

AWESOME!!!! I promise its worth tasting!!!!

We went with 2 things of each we hadnt had before and then looked for a safety. We didnt want to taste the tilapia bc we both knew we liked it!

OMG there is going to be SOOOOOOO much food at cocktail hour!!! Just be wise in the choices you make!

For the displays we didnt go with veggies bc we dont see who really eats them, and the smoked and cured fish is something diff and i KNOW ppl will eat them...its filling!

and for the stations we went with PASTA, Crepes and the Satay! Jason and I each picked one and agreeed on one....if you notice with the satay its accompanied by vege fried rice and couscous, so theres alot of food just with that station!

Dont worry about choosing things..Barbara works with you every step of the way! And dont be afraid to ask for her opinion and she describes what they look like, etc...theres going to be ALOT of food!

ofcourse we are getting the fountain!!!

remember theres desert too...so theres your cake....the desert,....the cordial cart (yummy choco cups!) and then if you get the fountain!

Portions were bigger than I expected!!!!

They cook one dish of each and then everyone shares it (why its called a tasting) and my mom asked her about the portions, and Barbara told us they arent that big bc of the tasting...they are really that big!!!

sounds like your tasting went great!! Was there an upcharge for the appetizer?? I saw on the new menu posted online that it says +$2 for that one, which I was disappointed about b/c I kind of wanted it!!

Do you think if we wanted to try maybe 1 or 2 more entrees they would allow it? hehehe.....

She lets you taste 4 of them. There is an upcharge for it and it was awesome!!!!!!!

I don't know yet....we are going to decide this weekend I have a feeling FH might want to taste some beef though since I'm sure that's what he will be eating!

Im telling you the HR chicken and the chilean seabass were out of this world!!! HR chicken was almost like a chicken cutlet... and it wasnt spicy at all...so juicy and flavorful!!!! and the seabass killed it...awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HWC 09er crashing!! There have recently been two more 09 HWC brides, but before that I was lonely on the 09 board, there was no HWC love!! You girls must be so excited your weddings are right around the corner!!

We faxed in our tasting form today....we are tasting:

Appetizer: Tomato & Mozzarella Napoleon
Salad: Field Greens w/ Goat Cheese -- we're trying the Balsamic & the Citrus dressing....

Entrees:
Filet
Chilean Sea Bass
Potato Crusted Tilapia
Horseradish Crusted Chicken
French Cut Stuffed Chicken

Barb said we could taste 5 b/c FH really wanted to taste the Filet and we couldn't decide on the chickens and fishes! hehe....




What flavors did you guys choose for your cakes?? I just found out the baker info from Barb and the flavors look great!
