We still have to go for our food tasting too, maybe we can go the same time!!! That would be cool!! Do they usually do them in the morning or at night?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I originally wanted Dec but FH wanted a few more months to plan ( feb is not a big difference but whatever). I wonder if they decorate for valentines day. That would be really sweet.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
FH is going to be mad at you guys (Just kidding). I LOVE this time of year! I Love Xmas and decorating and sending Xmas cards, etc! Anyhow, I had always LOVED the idea of an Xmas themed wedding. However, there are 2 big reasons we/I decided against it... 1) My b-day is the 17th, a week before Xmas, if we were to marry Dec, that means I would not get presents any other time of the year (that's the selfishness in me)
2) Weather. FH would prefer marrying in a warm month.
But now that it's Xmas time and I am hearing from you girls how JT is decorated....I want Xmas Theme
So, I am going to talk to him about it tonight, BUT, do we do Dec '05 or Dec '06?!?! I can barely wait until June '06, I am afraid another 6 months will do me in! But I am afraid 6 mos earlier will upset FH.

Yes, and we're staying with our June date. He said if we switched to Dec, he wanted Dec 2006. I wanted Dec 2005. I can barely wait the 1 1/2 yrs to June, and he thinks I want to wait ANOTHER six months!
Funny thing (I thought FH was going to kill me last week--not literally), the day after we decided to stay with June, I asked if we coud change the date. From June 29 to July 3, that'd be Thur to Mon. We talked about it and again, decided to stay with Thur June 29.
See what PMSing does to us women!
-Jill
P.S. Lisa good luck at JT!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
miss kitty. Since we have gotten engaged, I'm sure my fiance felt like shooting me a couple of times. He finally gave in to Jericho Terrace because he said he was tired of seeing me moping
. Oh and by the way JUNE 29th is my bday(you picked a great day) lol. P.S. Lisa as soon as you get back from JT please tell us how it went.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
When we booked JT last year it was all decorated for christmas and I asked if it would still be decorated for my Jan 8th Weddding.. they added in my contract that they would take the decoration down the monday after my wedding instead of the day before. I thought that was really nice of them to change their schedule around for us.

Hi all. I'm so glad to hear so many good things about JT. My BM is Robert who is also the general manager. He was so accomodating and help us revise the entire CH and menu for whatever we wanted. Also, wanted to know who everyone is using for music.
Hope to be posting soon.

Hi Everyone!I've been reading up on Jericho and its so great to hear so many great things....it just reassures me that I made the rights choice...everytime i talk to someone i always come up with a new question....does anyone know if they supply the bathroom baskets and am i allowed to supply boxes for the guests to take stuff home from the viennese hour...or can my mom take any extra home?.....I can't wait til i get married, but there is still so much to do....
Anyone else using the Penthouse Room?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I'm using the penthouse room for my reception and the skylight room for my ceremony. I think they are both great. I saw the penthouse room set up for 200 with plenty of room to spare. It looked fantastic! They told me that my mom could take all the leftovers if she wanted to.
As far as the bathrooms, I know they supply hair spray, lotion and some perfumes but for other things, I'm not sure.
I felt the same way after reading the boards too. I not once have regretted my decison once I found this thread.
Good luck!

OK.first of all... dihaus - so funny. went to JT today and they gave me your date as one of the openings! but i'd be in the skylight-terrace room. ok, so here i go. i fell in love.
we went and i was supposed to meet mike t. i think he didn't show up or something so vinny and mike closs helped me out. that annoyed me tho. we had a full tasting. the antipasto was amazing, the chicken sorrentino was great, wine, pellegrino - we ate in the cocktail room and it was so romantic even!
they did good with the price - esp. with the afternoon possiblity. Fi is all about the price. But he liked it too. He wants a lot of fish tho for some reason and they wouldn't budge on giving us shrimp cocktail in that price. Fi also likes the idea of adding a lobster portion (instead of shrimp cocktail) to dinner menu and that was a lot per person. we prob. won't do vieneese no matter what but i don't care.
We saw Crest Hollow and that's a whole other story - they went all out on that one...but thats a private deal. And Floral Terrace is still in the running. I am just so confused. One thing - if i could do a 1 - 6 reception at JT, I wouldn't care about having a day wedding...other than getting up so early!

it's gorgeous. they did a good job of covering that mike t. was not there. they did good on the price...esp. the afternoon in feb. or march but i just need something to go YES (this would be adding the shrimp or reducing the price on adding lobster to the meal) to make me go OK...march 11 06 here i come!
