***OFFICIAL LEONARDS OF GREAT NECK 08' BRIDES THREAD***
So I hope Im not stepping on anyone else's toes but I want to start a thread for Leonards brides who are getting married in 2008. Lets compare menus, BMs, prices pp, and experiences.
Re: ***OFFICIAL LEONARDS OF GREAT NECK 08' BRIDES THREAD***
Let me get the ball rolling. Im Sat. March 1, 08. Mauritzio (I probably just butchered his name) is my BM. Hes been great so far. Im paying $95 per person not including tax and tip. I dont know the name of the room Im having but its the one on the lower level. I think its actually a few rooms put together to make one big room (300 guest here!). Okay so the price includes the cocktail hour with 2 carving stations and a seafood station. Ice sculpture. Open bar for whole 6 hours. 4 hours reception with fruit, salid, pasta, and then 6 entre choices. Wedding cake and then the desert hour thing. Does this sound right? Is anyone else using a lighting tech to make the walls change colors throughout the evening. I really want this.

I attempted two leonard's threads a while ago, but there weren't enough leonard's brides to make it last There's another new leonards 08 bride here, so hopefully this one will work! I'm not exactly sure who my BM is, the first time I visited I spoke with maurizio but when I actually booked the place patrick did it. They're both really nice (did u see maurizio's elephant cufflinks? ) But anyway, i'm paying $55 pp for the basic package for a saturday afternoon in July, but there are LOTS of changes I want to make! so we'll see how that goes...I have the penthouse and I really want to do the lights thing also, I think it would look so beautiful, especially at a hall like leonards! I hear that that's expensive though and i'm on a budget, unfortunately...

$55 in July??? That is GREAT!!!! How did you pull that off? Yea the lighting is kind of expensive. Im getting alot of lighting (lighting up walls and 30 centerpieces) and 2 plasma screen TVS on the dancefloor for $3000. But you may not need as many lights so figure atleast $2000. If you can work with that I say def. go for it because it adds sooo much to the room.

Well, July is an off month for a lot of RH's and also having the reception in the afternoon lowered the price a lot. Does the $3000 include the plasma tvs and the lighting? Was this part of a dj package? That sounds pretty good...who are you using.. I really think lighting adds a lot to the room too, and it could also work well with your color scheme! I actually saw a pic of the lighting at leonards and it was BEAUTIFUL!

The lighting is not part of the DJ. Yes the 3000 includes the plasmas too. The company is World of Illumination. http://www.worldofillumination.com

Hey guys! I just went to go look at Leonard's a couple of days ago and loved it. We're thinking of having a small wedding (about 75 people) so the BM, Antonio, showed us a room on the main level. HOWEVERR, i am like the most claustrophobic person ever and cannot stand having any windows.
Anyways, when he gave us the package you get when you go look at the place and I was looking through it on my way home, I saw this room that has french doors and what looks like opens up to a patio/deck area. Does anyone know what this room is called and if you need a certain minimum in order to book that room? I want it!! And I'm even willing to invite more people for it lol. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and was either shown that room or had that room for their party size, can you please tell me how many people you have/had? Thanks alot!
