Official May 07 Thread!!!!

I have done nothing.....very very lazy lately

Ok well we got engaged on Sept. 11. We are having our engagement party on Nov. 19. I am thinking of sending out the STD's in May (we are getting married on May 4 '07) I think that sending them out a year in advance is a good way to go even if you are doing it on a holiday weekend. That's just my opinion though.

Also as far as asking someone from out of state to be the MOH....I asked my cousin and she lives in Florida. Its not impossible, it just requires a lot of cheap airfare! Also making sure that you can cram a lot of things into one weekend (i.e. dress shopping and bridal shower, bachelorette parties...) Def. not impossible though. Go for it!

Regarding the booking of halls also...we booked our church, hall and DJ already...hardest things because you want to get what you want. The rest of the things I am going to start doing around May '06. Just wanted to get the big things out of the way now so that I was sure that I got the vendors and prices that I wanted.

I am a May bride as well and i have not ordered mine. I will send out my STDs right after the holidays then my invites in March

Are u blocking rooms as well?

i wasnt even thinking about STD untill May 06, i mean who really gets these anyway....most of my guests are in the tri-state area....and everythime at get togethers they ask me and i tell them.....

we're saving for both a house and wedding....condos in queens are $$$ FI wants to move to NJ...everything cotss too $$$
