I'm actually doing mine next Sat. Just going to Fire Island for the weekend. I wanted to do it early so I could go to Fire Island and I'm not really into going into city - I wanted something more laid back. Plus, pretty much every weekend in Sept and Oct are booked up already! I have a very busy next couple of months.

On a side note - I finished my invites!!! They'll go out next Monday I think because I have a lot of OOT people and a few people on a B list.

Hi girls! Got my tiara this weekend! We are currently in DIY invite hell and I will be soooo glad when I can mail those suckers out. I will do cartwheels coming out of the post office. We also met with the florist this weekend to confirm our centerpieces, bo-ks and logistics of dropping everything off. It's really becoming real now!!! I'm freaking out but I am really excited at the same time.

Yaaay!!!! Can you post a pic of the tiara? I'm sure the invites will be beautiful. I know what you mean about being happy to have that part almost done. You're ahead of me on the florist end! I'm not supposed to call them until early Sept to finalize everything but now I think I should go sooner. Hmmmm.

That's a really good question. Originally, I didn't want one. Now I'm thinking I may just want to go out to dinner and then hit some bars here on LI or in NYC. You only live once!

I'm so upset right now... Well not so much upset, but really aggravated....

I got my envelopes back from the calligrapher, and they are gorgeous!!!

So.. I decided to start stuffing them tonight to get ahead... Well, I set everything up, and then, just as I'm about to get started, I look at the reception card, and I just realized after having these invites for almost 2 months now, that the address for the Reception Hall is wrong....

It's suppose to read 200 East Shore DRIVE, and it says

200 East Shore Road... I know it's not that big of a mistake, but I really wanted everything to be perfect. And if someone tries to map out the Hall using the ROAD, they may not find it. Even though it's right on the direction cards.. Now I have to order new ones...


But I do have to say, the envelopes look Great! I'll post picks tomorrow...

On no!!!! Is it an error on the invitation printers part? Is it something the calligrapher can fix for you? FM me if you need help because my calligrapher did my direction cards for me. It'll work out!!!

Yeah I think we are going to do a dinner first, this way all my cousin's can go (the older one's that have kids), and then go out somewhere after that. I was thinking about checking out that 80's prom thing in the city, but I am not sure. I was hoping to get some good ideas from you ladies.

Good morning girls. Should i be worried that it's August 15 and we have not even sent our address list to the lady who is doing our invites?
We are supposed to be sending them out the first week of Sept!

We have a little time right? the only reason it's been pending is b/c we are STILL waiting for some address's from his mom..UGH
