Re: Official Pagan Brides Thread!
Oh, I got so sad after I read this thread. I was raised Catholic, never made Confirmation, then became Wiccan. FH has no prob whatsoever with this. He likes learning about it. His fam is SUPER CRAZY Catholic. My fam knows that I am Wiccan. They don't mind. I swore I would never marry in a church. But here I am marrying in a church. Granted, it's not Catholic, but still. FH and I compromised to marry in a Methodist chuch. FILS are still fuming, but that's the best we could do for them. So, I really wanted to do a Wiccan/Catholic wedding, but that could never happen. So I have to forget about any Wiccan traditions at my wedding and it makes me sad sometimes.

Re: Official Pagan Brides Thread!
We're not religious at all. We are spiritual, I guess. We love certain aspects of so many different organized religions, but do not worship any deity at all. We believe in past lives (and future lives) and are incorporating that belief in our ceremony. Instead of ''till death do us part' we are saying 'in this life and into the next, where we shall meet, remember, and love again.'
There are other nature-based wordings in our ceremony - symbolism really. Our officiant will talk about the symbolism of the ring, of fire, of air, etc.
