Re: Official Reem Acra Brides Thread

I actually have a question - did anyone that ordered a strapless reem raise the bodice - i had them open up the cup and then raise it an inch - i didnt want anything showing in church - so i figured this was the easiest way to get away with a strapless dress

They told me that I would have to do this cause I am a D cup.. I think it depends on the dress.. The sample sizes were all big on me anwyay- and I was afraid if the cup was opened up, it would enhance my chest-- which I would have hated.. My dress, I got away without having to do that- but one of the other ones I was considering fell a little differently on the chest.

Besides savign 300 bucks, I was concerned about how it would come out.

Re: Official Reem Acra Brides Thread

Re: Official Reem Acra Brides Thread

I was thinking about getting Good Luck-- and that made my boobs look a little flat, and pressed in.. but my dress- didn't have the same effect-- so I nixed the idea of opening it up.. I was worried also that the dress would look different.

Looks like your pics are from Wedding Salon of Manhasset- yes??

I originally went to Reem's salon.. but I had a hook up at Kleinfelds- so that is where I got my dress-- which btw I didn;t see at Reem's salon.

before i went to teh wedding salon - i went to boticcelli's and fell in love with a dress called azalea (it was from her rose line) - so i went to price it around - and finally found my dress - they defintiely all carry different dresses - i chose mine from the wedding salon during a trunk show - so i definitely saw and tried on a bunch

Yeah-- they do. Also, Reem's salon is not allowed to carry everything that other salons carry. That's what the guy from the trunk show told us while at Kleinfelds.

I would also look on the Knot-- there is a thread in the message boards-- Post Your Reem Acra dress- you'll need to look through a lot of pages but you may find someone else who has taken a picture of it- if they got the same dress.

Re: Official Reem Acra Brides Thread

Wanted to let everyone know that I went dress shopping for the first time today at the Reem Acra Salon!!

My question is... HOW DO YOU CHOOSE FROM ALL THE GORGEOUS DRESSES!!! I tried on several and loved them all (except 1 that was a totally different cut than what I was looking for). I didn't buy anything... I'm gonna go look in Kleinfelds and some places recommended on LI... try to hit up a Trunk Show next time they have one.

I lLOVE everyone's dresses by the way!

Re: Official Reem Acra Brides Thread

there was one dress that i loved and wish i could have gotten - but it would have been too much money for them to change it to the way i wanted - it had a scoop front and back - had this straps and the back was SO low. THe design on the bodice and the train was kinda like geometric rectangles interconnected - has anyone seen this?

I wanted them to make it a strapless and the salon said it would be too much - and since i was already paying over $5K there was no way i could justify more.

I know exactly what dress you are talking about-- I did not even try it on cause they tol me it was no good for my damn big boobs!

Plus backless-- the bra hassles- no thanks!

But it was a really pretty dress!
