Do you think I can wait until August to book limos?

Re: Official September 06 Thread

Thanks girsl,

I called the seamstress to have the date moved up. She's a seamstress for Kleinfelds that is doing my dress on the side but she's prob going to be very busy at Kleinfelds also, so to be safe I'll go 6 weeks before.

Since most don't do alterations till 6-8 weeks before, i would start asking Q's mid-June on where it is.

Good luck!

Depends on who you want to use. You might not get the company you want to use if you wait.

Hey girls,

when are you girls going for your dress fittings?

I just made an appointment for my first in late August- is that too late? I figure I'll be the shape I want by then and then we'll only need one more fitting for touch ups right before the wedding?

My first fitting is next weekend!

OMG - I am just finishing up my Pocketfolds, i weighed them.. 2.4 oz... that is .87 postage! Fh and i decided to hand deliver all the ones we can! i have 5 going to one house!, 4 to 2 other houses... we will be visiting LI at the time they would go out anyway so it works out... it is tacky to have my mom bring them to the shower and give them to people as they leave? heehee... we have about 140! that postage adds up!

I read on the knot once that in the old days, it was more proper to hand deliver invitations. so, i don't think it would be bad if you delivered them to the people's house. then you get to see the look on their face when they open it!
However, I don't think you should hand them out at the shower, that could be tacky, IMHO.

i thought it might be... FH can drive around his neighborhood, ALOT of them are there, he has 2.5 weeks of NOTHING to do! i, unfortunatly will have to work... my aunts and cousins couldnt give a rat's a$$ if i do them at the shower.. so i could do them on the side! It's FH mom's friends i wouldnt DARE do that with!..

Hey, I just wanted to vent. I am so tired of speaking to vendors or people in general when I am trying to get something checked off my to do list and have them say 'Oh, you have so much time.' Really, because I dont feel that way when I look at my to do list. Vent over! Thanks for listening!

Really? I feel like I get the opposite. 'Oh, honey, you're late on this.' Really? Why do you think I am calling you on my lunch break? Because I don't have other time to do it!!!!!
Why can't they say, I'd be happy to take care of that. Here's the price....
Thx for letting me vent right there with you!

I wish I would get that. They make me feel like I am being a bridezilla and stressing about minor stuff that I have so much time to do. Whats wrong with being early! Bottom line, we could do with out the comments and more service.
