Here we go ladies...lets start our own thread and keep each other sane with this crazy planning. All I have done so far is booked my hall, church, make-up and hair, I am ready to book the photographer (I will be using DUET) and I am ready to hunt down a DJ...what about you girls? Oh and I also know what florist I will be using.

I booked one OOT hotel (Hunt. Hilton)
going to do another one soon.
I am getting my hair trial in a couple of weeks, and then we have to decide on Bridesmaids dresses and then our honeymoon.......hopefully tahiti!!!!!!!! my heart is set on it right now.

Wow - I'm kind of glad I didn't find this thread when I first started posting on this site. I would have been totally intimidated!

Luckily we've got a few things checked off so I don't feel like a slow poke!

Done:
Venue - Vanderbilt Mansion
Officiant - Rev. Laura Tria
Ceremony Music - Sterling Ensembles
DJ - High Voltage
Videog - Rambling Rose

We're close on the Florist - hopefully will book today.

This weekend:
Two more photogs - hope we like one of them because nobody's really clicked yet.
Two dressmakers - we're definitely having our dresses made and have a few ideas to start with.
Two OOT hotels - really just filling some slots in the schedule but maybe we'll get it settled.

Yet to do - far too much to bother listing...

Wow you ladies are on point with the planning! Im meeting with my florist this weekend so I'll have that out of the way and my next vendor is DJ...so hard to find a good one I think...we're looking for a good DJ-thats it...no MC...anybody has any recommendations???

We really liked Vinny at High Voltage - basic package, no MC, no giveaways, lightshows etc...

He was the first one we saw and we called the same day to book him...

Any one have any good fall ideas. So far i have leaves instead of rose petals to be placed on the tables, small vocative candles shaped like leaves for the tables, and they're scented.

I can't believe how much stuff you girls have already checked off your to-do lists. I feel like a huge slacker!

So far, we've booked the church and reception site.

I've got my bands down to 2 choices and I know what I want to do for my dress, favors, hotel, limo/shuttle, menus and programs.

I haven't even started to narrow the options for photography, hair and make up and would love any suggestions you can pass on.

We're sort of going with a fall theme. It's going to be very subtle. Like, I plan on using fall colored flowers (Reds, Oranges and Yellows) plus putting fall leaves in with all the flowers (Bo-K, Bouts, CPs, and on all the tables) Also, the favors we're planning to use are the glass coasters but instead of them saying 'LOVE' on them, in each corner is an etched maple leaf. They'll be wrapped with navy ribbon (to match the color theme which is Navy and Cream) and have a tag on them that says 'Fall In Love'.

That's all I can really think of for now...

i'm almost certain who i know who i'm picking for band, my date is already down in the book with them. i am looking closely into photo/video have a couple of appts lined up, FH doesn't want to go with me either!!
i have an idea of what dress i want, i love maggie sottero and demetrious gowns but i don't love their price tags either! i'm waiting for the nassau coliseum show also maybe i can get more ideas there.

I changed my mind on the gown, I think I'm going to wait until the beginning of the year.
