Official Swan Club Thread...

Hi there,

Since I haven't come across an offical Swan CLub thread, I thought I would start one.

My BQ Manager is Barbara, so far she's been a total doll!

The property is amazing... right now it's a little bare, but in a month is will be sooo pretty with flowers everywhere.

I am using the after deck, that's the smallest room, to your right when you walk in. It hold up to 70 p, which is perfect, because we should have about 60-65p

We had our food tasting yesterday, and it was yummy! I'd say ***1/2, only because my potatoes were cold :(

Well that's all for now.. hope some other Swan Club girls join soon...lol

Our wedding ceremony will be Saturday evening in the Pavillion, cocktail hour outside and reception in the Contessa room (the 'warm woodsy' room) which is located to the left of the fireplace from the lobby (holds up to 140).

It's such a beautiful place - we didn't need to look further!

OH YAY!!!! Someone else using the Afterdeck!!! I thought I was all alone!

My BqM is Dan. I am aways away from my date so I haven't really done much with him yet, but he seems very nice. He was very accomodating the 3 times we showed up to look at the room because I am having nerves about the layout. We are having about the same amount of people. (60-65)

I am actually attending a wedding there on May 1. My FH's best man picked the same place -- without prior knowledge of what we were doing. (so they say!). I am not sure what room it's in... I just know it's not the Afterdeck., so that's ok(sort of)

yea --- I read too fast... I was so excited.

I am a little freaked about the layout of the Afterdeck... how do you feel?

Yes it does bother me too.. especially the low ceilings, but I looked at places like Milleridge Inn, and George Washington Manor, and realized for my size wedding, it was to be expected.

If your having your CH outside, then that will break it up alot..

What I do like about it, is the fact that people will have the bar area if they don't want to dance or want to sit and chat away from the music..no far away mind you..lol

I also like that we have our own bathroom, ( the handicap bathroom is near the bar, by the far door that leads outside.. which also gives us our own private entrance..

what really sold us on the place are the ground, Mike wanted something near water, and I wanted a garden wedding, so it suits both of us..

Oh and yes.. you will have to tell me all about it!!! I know the food and service are great.. my cousin was married there.. but I want to know how things go in our room...
