Since there are a bunch of Westchester and Connecticut brides here too, I figured I'd start a thread to discuss vendors in those areas.

If you're not getting married in Westchester/CT but using a vendor from there, obvi you're a part of this too :)

Vendor RAVE for all my fellow Westchester brides...

Aside from my hall (Glen Island Harbour Club) I used primarily NYC or LI vendors. One area I realized it made a huge $ difference to use a Westchester vendor was limos/shuttles.

I had a fantastic experience working with Tom of Royal Crown Limousine.
I used them for both our limo and shuttle and could not be happier. They beat everyone's pricing and were such a pleasure to deal with (I've dealt with some nasty limo reps on the phone before...)

Check them out if you haven't booked your limo yet.. and let me know if you have any questions.

I got married and all our vendors were NYC & LI but I went to college, work, and live in Westchester!

I live in queens and FH is from CT so we're starting to look for a condo in Westchester (since it's right in the middle)..does anyone recommend specific areas in westchester? We dont really know where to start!

White Plains! FH used to live at the Westage Towers and it was awesome

White Plains! FH used to live at the Westage Towers and it was awesome

I second that. It is a cool area to live, and affordable!

I am also a Glen Island girl. Getting hitched on 6/18/2010. My two vendors I used from Westchester is the flowers and my officiant. Everyone else was from Long Island.

I'm getting married at a church in Yonkers, but my reception is going to be at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx. I'll be using mostly Westchester vendors tho so I sort of belong to this group

I have lived in Westchester my whole life....and I highly recommend any of the River towns (Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, Irvington, etc). Not only is it a beautiful area, it is close to Manhattan if you commute, about 45 min from LI if you have family there and if you are planning on having children the school systems are excellent
