Okie girls, it's very confusing knowing who we need to tip the day of, soooo I'm starting a list of all those vendors we need to tip and also an average of how much the tip should be, I'll be upgrading it and giving an average on tips as we post on this thread


Maitre D' $3-$5

Bridal Attendant $100-$150

Photographer & Assis. $150-$200

Videographer & Assis. $150-$200

Limo Drivers $30-$50 each

Music (if it's not the owner) $150-$200

Flowers (delivery people - if they're not the owners) $20

Hair/Make Up 20% if you go to the salon. If they come to you $20-30 each

Altar Servers $10 each

Ceremony Musicians $25 each

Valet $20 each

Bathroom Attendants $100-$150

Wait Staff $20 each

DOC $100

Discretionary $100

******** Not all of the above vendors are required to get tipped, this depends on the place where you're gonna have your ceremony and your venue.

Photographer: $100-150
Photographer Assistant: $50-75

Videographer: $100

Band: Not tip, if they are the owners. Otherse, use your discretion

Florist: Not tip, if they are the owners. Otherse, use your discretion

Makeup/Hair 20% if you go to the salon. If they come to you and its their company - no tip. (but i will still tip 20%

I'm pretty sure you don't tip the florist themselves, but you'd tip the delivery people..though I'm not sure how you'd tip the people who delivered to the RH, and they'd have the biggest job

We tipped $20 to the guy that delivered the bouquets and stuff to the hotel. He was the only one we saw.

But FH and I were just discussing it

We're going to plan on

$500 for Maitre'D (150 guests at wedding)
$100 x 2 Bridal attendants

$200 for Photographer and staff (2 photographers and an assistant, but our photographer is the owner. We'll give it him and let him split it)

$200 for Video and staff (exact scenario as above)

$100 for limo ($50 x each driver)

$150 for DJ and MC (MC is the owner)

And then an extra few hundred as extra.

I'll also be tipping my hair/makeup girls as usual. probably like $20-30 each.

I don't think you're responsible for tipping waiters, bartenders, va;ets, bathroom attendants, etc.

Band - $25 per musician $225

Hair / Makeup – 20% $40

Limos - $50 to party bus driver, $20 per driver of Rolls Royce and Navigators and late night car $130

Altar Servers - $10 each, if any $10

Organist at Church - $25, if any

DOC – $100, discretionary $100

Total: $1525

I don't think you're responsible for tipping waiters, bartenders, va;ets, bathroom attendants, etc.

It depends on the hall. Our BM said he would sit down and go over with us how we want to arrange gratuities, so we can decide. But we know that the service charge does not cover it, and the staff is not allowed to take tips from our guests (and we wouldn't want them to).

Oh I gotcha - our church charges a separate fee just to have the wedding there (I think it's $250). My parents are doing the additional 'donation' to the church because our priest doesn't accept tips.
