officially NOT going to any more doctors!

I went to the nuero today, and what an ass! he basically took my blood pressure and handed me ANOTHER prescrip! for something i cant even read, my friggin prescrip plan is EXPENSIVE and frankly i just dont have the money to waste on this. I want to know WHY im getting these headaches and no one can seem to help me! im so upset i dont know what to do with myself!! i feel like smoking a carton of cigarettes right now! im so ****ed off!!

Is there ANY dr.s out there who give a sh!t? cause none i go to do!!! I want to know why this quack DID NOT give me migrane meds? urggg im so mad!! i cant tell you !

have you thought of going to see a doctor with a more holistic approach?

he really didn't schedule any tests? just more drugs?!??

OMG Sue, I am so sorry. Some doctors are real jerks. Hopefully someone on here has a great doctor that they can refer you to.
My hubby just got home and he has a headache again too.

Thats just crazy. They should have at least done blood tests on you. I get migraines all the time and it is not fun so I really feel for you.

Did you ever get your eyes checked? My sis had a headache for like 2 weeks straight and it was due to eye strain. Maybe something else to check out.

Is your pain in the back of your head? or in the front. Mine is in the back and its not neurology related, b/c obvisouly my doc couldn't do anything.

Suzanne....

I have been dealing with Migraines since I was 8 years old. A neurologist can't really do much except rule out any MAJOR issues such as a tumor, or a seizure disorder.
You DON'T need to go back to another neurologist, but try to seek help from your reg. doctor.

Try getting massages...
Try Accupuncture
Try a Chiropractor
Try Trigger Point Therapy

(all of which I have tried)

A neurologist can't pin point why your getting headaches b/c it might not be something that simple to detect.

It could be a food allergy, It could be stress, it could be anything.

There is a headache clinic here in NY that I have gone to...if you want I can get you the info....

Thank you ladies!! im soo ****ed off and fed up.. i am going to try a massage on Wed. or thursday after work... im so upset i dont know what to do with my self right now!

get tested for allergies, go to a hollistic doctor....

I have been tested for allergies, i am allergic to everything, but i am on Allegra 2x a day which has worked wonders for them, im also on advair and albuterol for the allergies..

whats hollistic medication>

About 2 years ago I got such bad headaches I Couldn't move my head form the neck upwards.
My GP perscribed Furisette (SP), and 2 other tablets, which I can't remember the name of. None worked and I was absolutely miserable.

Turns out I had migrane headaches triggered by siuns pressure. Does any of this sound familiar? I know a little of the problems you are having. I definately got these because of sinus pressure. Now I get cortizone shots into my sinus cavaties every few monthes and I have not had a headache since

edited to say - a fried referred me to an ENT specialist, and I sat in his office crying from the pain. Within 24 hours of the shots I was a different person

Dani, apparently he had my records and last year i went for a MRI catscan and Anyurism test... i guess there isnt much else he can do for me. so i will try other options, like for example jumping out of my friggin office window!!

have you tried keeping a journal?? i was getting bad, bad migraines and the doctors kept throwing drugs at me. the last drug - i wouldn't sleep for days i finally started keeping an excel journal of everything - weather, foods, stress-level, time of month, etc. it took awhile, but i discovered severe changes in weather - like a bad storm moving in and foods with nitrates - hot dogs, canned ham, sausages, trigger my headaches. can't do much about the weather, but i can avoid the foods.
