officiant

officiant

We are hoping to have our ceremony at the same place as our reception, yet we are having problems finding an officiant who will marry us - I was confirmed Lutheran and he was confirmed Catholic. We wanted a Catholic preist to officiate, but apparently they will not do it unless it is conducted in a house of worship. Any suggestions of someone who will make it personable and FUN? Anyone know about how this will affect raising our children Catholic?

Don't know about the kids part though - sorry!

It will not affect raising your children catholic at all. My fh and I baptised our son before we were married ( obviously) and they had nothing to say about it. My fh is catholic and I never really had a religion... my dad is jewish my mom is catholic and so I didnt follow either one.
