Ok.. question... My hall is charging me $450 for set up of chairs and for the room... Now I would have to pay another $450 to $500 for a officiant?????? Would it be better for me to get married in a church...The reason i wasn't going to is becasue I'm not to religious and I haven't made my communion or comformation.

Some churches you don't need to have done your confirmation. I never got confirmed and my church only asked if i was baptized. So i would call the church if you do want a church wedding and ask them if you need to be confirmed.

i do think the church vs a hall ceremony can end up costing essentially the same... we paid 400 to use the hall's ceremony area , but got april for free so thank god we saved somewhere ... or else it would have been close to 1000 for 20 freakin mins
